Week 10/4: Helaman

Helaman 10: 1-4 Pondering

Pondering helps us receive revelation.

Why? How?

  • Pondering focuses and stirrs our minds in the right direction and prepares us to receive revelation

Pondering vs. Daydreaming

  • Pondering is intentional and focused

  • Daydreaming is losely thinking, fantasizing

Through pondering, we can turn knowledge to wisdom

The way we ponder is all up to us. Whether we like to keep to ourselves or think out loud to someone.

D&C 1: 4, 5 God's Chosen Disciples

  • "mouths of my disciples"

  • We are also God's chosen disciples

  • We don't have to wait on the prophets

  • We can deliver the word of God

Helaman 13: 1-6 Samuel and his Warnings

What did Samuel warn them? What did his people need to do?

  • Repent and have faith

  • Destruction awaiteth them if they did not repent

  • Samuel warned his people with the voice of God in his heart

  • The only thing that can save them is repentence

Follow the prophet!!!

Ponder on God's messages!!!
